Rudabeh Shahbazi Biography

Rudabeh Shahbazi is an Iranian-American three-time Emmy award-winning journalist working as an anchor on a live daily three-hour national newscast called News Nation at WGN.

Formerly, she worked at WFOR which is a CBS affiliate in Miami, Florida, as an evening news anchor. She also hosts public affairs in South Florida at WBFS, MyTV33 which airs on Sundays.

Shahbazi earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Pepperdine University and a master&#;s degree from the University of California, Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. Her education there included travelling to the Jordan-Iraq border to report on Iraqi refugees for a piece that appeared on PBS Frontline World’s website and resulted in the asylum of a civilian who was injured and lost her entire family in a bombing raid.
